They worked in tin and are known for their elaborate creations that featured all kinds of reflections of society at that time. Among their most popular creations were Jolly Joe The Clown, the Scotsman bank, Harold Lloyd, Bonzo ,the British Lion, the Saluting Sailor, Clever Dick , the Sentry bank, the Monkey and Parrot, as well as 4 versions of Mickey Mouse. Of interest, many of these banks were made both as toys as well as giveaways advertising products for companies such as Lipton’s tea.
